The UK’s Premier Motorcycle Orienteering Event

The Taffy Dakar is a unique adventure motorcycling challenge held annually in the heart of south Wales. Running since 2013, the event combines the thrill of navigational riding with the energy of a festival atmosphere, attracting hundreds of riders from across the UK and Europe.

Participants are given a series of waypoints and navigate their own route between them using a combination of tarmac roads and legal green roads. There is no prescribed route and no GPX track to follow – navigation, route planning and teamwork are all part of the challenge. 

Proudly organised as not-for-profit, the Taffy Dakar donates all proceeds to good causes, including Wales Air Ambulance and Blood Bikes Wales as well as a number of smaller local charities and youth groups. It is an event with purpose as well as passion. Whether you’re a rider, exhibitor, or sponsor, the Taffy Dakar offers a platform to connect with the UK’s adventure motorcycling community.
